How to use

How long does a jar last?

Is this suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes! Tallow is naturally gentle and mimics your skin oils. However, we recommend a patch test if you have known sensitivities, especially to lavender essential oil.

Why does the texture change in warm weather?

Tallow is a natural fat that softens in warmth and firms up when cool. This is completely normal and does not affect the quality. Store in a cool place if you prefer a firmer texture.

Can I use this on my face?

Absolutely. Tallow is non-comedogenic for most people, meaning it absorbs without clogging pores. Many customers use it as their only facial moisturiser.

Is this safe during pregnancy?

The balm contains lavender essential oil in a very low concentration. Most people use lavender products safely during pregnancy, but if you have concerns, consult your midwife or doctor, or try our Unscented version.

Processing & Dispatch

Return Conditions

As we sell skincare products, we can only accept returns of unused and unopened items in their original packaging. For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of products that have been opened or used.

  3. Post the item(s) back to us using a tracked shipping service
Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping is at the customer's expense. We recommend using a tracked service to ensure your return arrives safely. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank to process the refund.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@bloodybasic.com with:

  • A photo of the damaged or incorrect item

We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no extra cost to you.
