Welcome to Bloody Basic, where we believe skincare should be simple, natural, and actually work. Our tallow-based products contain just 3-4 ingredients – no petrochemicals, no fillers, no bullshit. Just bloody good ingredients that your skin will love.

Bloody Basic started when we discovered what tallow could do for problem skin. After seeing real results with eczema and psoriasis – conditions that pharmaceutical products only masked – we knew we had to share this. Our tallow is sourced from local Southland farms, grass-fed NZ beef rendered into pure, nutrient-rich skincare that actually works.

Our mission

Our mission is simple: provide skincare that works, with ingredients you can actually read. We are part of the back-to-basics movement – people are tired of petrochemicals and unpronounceable ingredients that never fix the problem. Tallow has the same fatty acid profile as human skin, making it one of the most biocompatible moisturisers on earth.

Why tallow works

Tallow is one of the closest substances to human sebum – your skin natural oil. It absorbs beautifully, creates a protective barrier, and delivers nutrients your skin actually needs.

Just 3-4 ingredients per product. NZ grass-fed tallow, jojoba oil, and pure essential oils. That's it. No fillers, no petrochemicals, no bullshit.
